Approximately S300 was raised by selling M 6 M's and Snickers. In fact, the frosh sold 2,304 candy bars to the student body. There were a lot of freshmen who had enthusiasm for their class and they went out of their way to raise money for the class, comment- ed class president, Joanna Castillo. L. Cyndi Gray g Q Class members comment by Michael Cobb Freshmen class members were asked by publications to comment on the status of being a freshman. Mike Bazinet said, l liked being a freshman, although I couldn't do as much as the upperclassmen, but some day I'll be one. Many freshmen weren't really ready to come to Pittsburg High and were frightened, as so many of the 500 freshmen, the first week of school. Many of the frosh didn't par- ticipate in many activities in the first weeks, but did attend some of the rallies.
