The meetings were run constitu- tionally by the president from a prepared agenda and the minutes were taken by the secretary. The vice-presidents job, when not filling a vacant office, was to keep the class in control, The treasurer gave weekly reports. The representatives reported all SBOD events to the class and brought all class problems to the board. The class began the school year organized and willing to work. , One disappointment, however, was the relative disappointing attend- ance. ranging from 20-30 students, Mike Crespo, vlce president said. T She also helped the class make plans for the Senior Ball. She had to attend all meetlngs and help with everything involving. the class. Blackman had wanted to be president of a class since she was In the 4th grade as she always liked the sound of, Toni Blackman, President! She ran for president in Central Junior l-ligh's 8th grade which helped her prepare for what was ahead in high school. Also, her political colleagues encouraged her to ga for lt . She said, The Class of '86 was hard working. They just needed someone to motivate them. She felt that she was the one to do just that. They had a lot of goals and Blackman felt they attained them. Blackman's advice to the next junior class president was, Don't get frustrated. Stick to what you believe. Don't let anyone discourage you. Always remember, a good leader ls a good follower.
