Thrs year's team with experienoe and know-how gave Pittsburg a swlmming team of which it could be proud. Members practiced hard under the coaching of Mr. Joe Lee and were soon ready for their Diablo Valley Athletic League opponents. At the beginning of the year the girls played speed-a-way. As the year progressed, the classes played basketball and then went on to volleyball. One of the highlights of the year was co-educational volleyball which was played for five weeks. This was followed by a short session of tumbling and modern dance. The girls started out the spring months with five weeks of swimming. This was followed by four weeks of archery, badminton, and tennis. They finished an active year with four weeks of softball. J.
