Mr. Conti resigned from the board when he moved out of the district. Mr. Joseph H. Billeci, who formerly Joseph H Billecl was chairman of the board, was reappointed by the board to serve as a board member in Mr. Conti's seat. Boa rd of Education All through life there are Moments to Remember , but there will prob- ably be no other three-year span in which so much excitement and adventure will come your way as has been your experience during your senior high career. We are sure that there have been moments of happiness and moments of sadness, moments of exaltation and moments of disappoint- ment, moments of a sense of achievement and moments of frustration. We hope that the moments of happiness, exaltation, and a sense of achievement are those that you will keep with you in memory. National and world affairs make us, as a nation, ponder and reassess the value of education. Political leaders, who have neglected education for many years, are now wanting miracles accomplished over-night. You can be proud that you have attended a high school that has long been concerned with these problems and has made every effort to provide you with a thorough and complete course of study in fundamentals in every field. You have been fortunate to have lived in a community that was not only able but willing to provide the best in buildings and equipment, and to have had a Board of Education that was dedicated to providing a thorough education for all pupils. You have been favored to have been able to study under a faculty, each member of which was competent, qualified, and sincere. lf you took advantage of this opportunity, you will be well on your way to being pnepared to serve your country well in the hour of need for well-trained young men and women. Greetings and congratulations, then, Class of i958. May your ac- complishments in the years ahead match your fine record here, and give to all of us, in the satellite age ahead, many fine Moments to Remember, Dr. Charles E. Gen Stamper secrefa ry Mr. Poe PrincipaI's Message The time has again came to say good-by to a class of graduating seniors. This year's graduation will be a graduation for both of us, you to go on to higher educational opportunities, to work, or to marriage, and I to a new district-wide responsibility. This is always a time for an accounting. Have I done the best iob of which I am capable? Have I been the kind of person who always held high the interests of others? Have I constantly maintained faith in my Lord, my family, my peers and myself? Have I been able to see my mistakes and to use these experiences in ways that help me progress in attitude and thinking? Y Only you can answer these questions truthfully. Should you be able to answer in the affirmative you are well on your way to a happy, successful life. Should you have to answer in the negative it is not too late to change course and correct your faults. This is your life! Make the most of it! 94 Libby Ambrosinl typnst clerk
