The DRAGONLAN staff of 1965 wishes to recognize Mrs. Ernest Williams for her years of loving and dedicated service to Pittsboro High School. As a grade school teacher, she gave many hours of her time and interest to preparing children in the primary grades for their steady ascent to higher education. With this recognition on the behalf of the students of P.H ,S.--past and present, we thank her for her service to our school and wish for her the best life has to offer. 7

As our high school years draw to a close, we the DRAGONIAN staff and the Class of 1965 would like to express our deep appreciation to the entire faculty for their undivided interest and service in our behalf during the past four years. To one person we wish especially to say thanks. He has been a guiding light, an understanding friend, and an earnest teacher. From his efforts to further our education, each of us has greatly benefited in our search for greater knowledge . Therefore, the DRAGONIAN staff dedicates t his sixth edition, the DRAGONIAN of 1965, to MR. GENE TERRELL BROOKS. His enthusiasm for history is evident in his trips with the History Club as sponsor. 6

We have all engulfed ourselves in something which makes each one of us a bigger part of our school. As we have done this, we have ceased to be alone among many- we have become a part of the many. Enduring friendships have been born, time has passed, and with it the realiza¬ tion that we have grown as students. Football with a soft touch. Class rings at last!! ! 8
