CHAMPIONS P.H.S. 26-Angier 7 Angier started things off fast with a socre in the first. Then, Blair connected with Brasington on a 60 yard pass -run for a T.D. Blair passed to Freeman in the second for score number two. In the third Blair plunged five yards, and made the final score in the fourth on a four yard leap. Coach Norman Smith Managers; Luther White and Billy Gattis. RESUME The Blue Dragons, sparked by Johnny Blair, rolled up a 7 -2 season record for the Mid -Central Champion- ship. This was the best record for P.H.S. since the advent of eleven -man ball at the school. The team was comparatively small, but this did not stop the victories from rolling in. As for scoring, Hollis Freeman racked a team- leading 60 points. Marion Brasington with a season total of 43 was second man on the totem, followed by Gene Griffin with 36 and Johnny Blair who tallied for 3 1 . A tough line up front made these impressive figures possible . Of course, P.H.S. loses several team members every year, and this year was no exception. Don Bolejack, Hollis Freeman, Marion Brasington, Benny Rhodes, and Johnny Eubanks will not return to the ranks next year. All in all, the season was very good and prospects look bright for the Champs next year.
