In the Lab students are able to study individually at both remedial and supplementary levels. The instructional procedure is further oriented to meet in- dividual needs by allowing students to establish study schedules that are convenient for them during the hours the Lab is open. Basically, four groups of students study in the Lab: Q11 Those preparing to enter a technical institute or college, f2l those currently enrolled in a curriculum who need and desire study at levels or in areas not covered in the classroom, ffij those who desire general interest study and My those preparing to take the high school equivalency test. 12 N...-ge. avr ---ff . , -,, ,Y-em, . It is the purpose of the business curriculum to train students to be proficient in these arts and to prepare them for positions in industry and business. Some graduates of this program will qualify for employment as stenographers, technical secretaries, private secretaries, executive secretaries, and medical or legal secretaries. Others may qualify for positions as supervisors or administrators on a technical level. 30 -1 in julia Askew jamesville Brenda Manley Murfreesboro 5: Barbara Buck Washington Betsy Hardisorx Robersonville Secono yean Stuoents ' 'Sl' QL. Within these groups and over-lapping from group to group there are many employment opportunities. The basic concepts, circuits, test equipment, and their use in the electronics field are presented in theory, by demonstration, and through extensive lab work which assures the student's technical skill and experience. This time-proven way of training, combined with actual experience using test equipment, trains the student in the know-how to a level of technical ability that is in demand and makes his progress most rapid. 113 iflk vw - -ls. A good staff is a must and they must cooperate willingly. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each person that worked to make this book possible. The purpose of this annual is to preserve memories and events of this year. lf we have done this, all of our efforts and hard work have achieved their ultimate goal. The annual staff wishes to express sincere appreciation to all who have contributed to the publication of the 1967 Tarheel Technician. Without the support of our adver- tisers this would not have been possible. Betsy B.
