Hagerman, M. Powell, F. Magin, D. Hopkins, D. Murcavage, C. Stecher. FUUTHALL The 1952 Panthers did not have a too impressive record with three wins, one tie, and five losses. The wins were over Sweflesboro 6-0, Woodstown 6-0, ancl Hammonton 26-0. The tie was with Mount Holly 7-7. The losses were to Florence 14-0, Glassboro 13'0, Salem 26-0, Pennsgrove 34-0, and in the last game of the season Pitman lost to Clayton in the fourth quarter 12-7. Although the record was disappointing it was still an improvement over recent seasons, Seniors, playing for the last time in orange and black, were John Fleming, Bob Shirley, Dick Melson, Russ Powell, Frank Magin, Jim Conklin, John Enzman, Don Gray, Bill Hagerman, Dave Murcavage, Carl Schellinger, Ben Motisher, Carl Stecher, and Don Hopkins. The hockey season was not so good as Coach Eleanor Swing had ex- pected, however, the girls continued to work hard and displayed the usual high spirit and determination. The high point on the schedule was reached when our Pantherettes played host to Pennsgrove. The game presented the finest skills and team work of the season. Pennsgrove was victorious in the closing minutes of a hard fought, well played game. Those receiving their varsity letters were Pat Lauer, captain, Alice Mozzo, Gaii Beilstein, Shirley Philipona, Joan Gibbs, Barbara Wilson, Linda Schneeman, Judy Newkirk, Joan Trimble, Carole Shirley, Marilyn Parker, and Shirley Tryon, manager. The V. team placed third in Tri-County competition.
