In Memory of Most everyone knows someone who stands out in his mem- ory as one to be admired and emulated - one who is a hard worker, who does his own and a share of the hard work of others, who never complains, who actually en- joys hard work, who always sets the finest Christian ex- ample for everyone. Such a person we remember Mrs. Marie Pittman to be, and for this reason we, the Senior Class of Pitkin High School, dedicate this memorial to her for her loyalty, friendliness, and aid to all around her. (Philippians 4:13) MRS. MARIE PITTMAN

... from our Superintendent MR. CURTIS BRADSHAW If you had the opportunity to choose, you could not have selected a more exciting period than we are in now. A very few years ago none of us dreamed that man would circle the earth in 90 minutes, prevent polio, send television pictures through the air or alter the educational processes. We know it is necessary that we change education to keep abreast of the times and meet the demands of our modern society. This yearbook highlights some of the changes, and gives you, the student, a keepsake of the most endearing period of your life. It will be- come more valuable to you in the years ahead. 1 wish to extend warmest personal regards to each person represented in this yearbook. ... from our School Board Member MR. ELMO DAVIS My humble thanks to each student, teacher, employee and patron who has helped make this school year an outstanding one. May I extend to each of you a bright and peaceful future. Thank you for allowing me to be your school board member.
