Our JKr. 73. 73. Jlaruey He is a well-mannered, distinguished-look- ing man. But under that reserved nature, he is as much fun as anyone could be. His warm, easy smile makes him the kind of person any school would be proud to have as its principal. He is a man who enjoys fishing and hunting . . . who can be found almost any weekend out bird hunting or boating . . . who is an active member of the West Baptist Church. He can do lots of things . . . carpenter, barbecue, coun- sel all ages of youngsters, and smooth out lots of gnarled problems. This man knows every phase of running a school and can meet almost any crisis with a calm and knowing manner. He has been . . . director of the Physical Education department for ten years, agriculture teacher for four years, and has been principal for nine years. As a father, teacher, coach and principal, he knows the need for good schools and edu- cation. It is indeed a pleasure to be associated with Mr. Harvey and student body that make up the Pitkin High School and a member of the community. The cooperation of school and local citizens has been superior. This has been seen by the community fair, science fair, American edu- cation week, and many more outstanding school and community activities that were a great tribute to our students. We are proud of Mr. Harvey for the out- standing work he has done for our school the past years.
