A FR ENDLY RACE . . . In spite of an ever increasing enrollment, Pitkin High School remains a friendly school. Students are more than just a number or name in the book. Many lasting friendships are made here. The auditorium is a place to make new friends or to meet old ones. In the auditorium one can always find someone will- ing to talk to him or maybe even listen to him. To the dear old high school gym we love so well. . . Long after the hard earned diploma has been received, certain memories at Pitkin High School will never be forgotten, the many heated discus- sions. . . the walks to and from classes, and the many pleasant hours spent in the gym. Although return- ing alumni find many outward changes, Pitkin High School will always remain the same. RICf-f IN TRADHIOM

A RACE 70 STUDV. . . To the tables down in first grade The school, sprawling with buildings both old and new seems strange, even frightful to the first grade child. However, he soon becomes familiar with the daily routine including numbers and draw- ing. ” The year ends and the results of all the studies are shown. Whether it be a stroll down the hall to get the kinks out or just a few minutes chat about basket- ball trophies before the next class, a break from the daily grind of studying is always in order.
