Freshmen . . . Ja, Wa 52 Qian NVQ- lfreslnneu have just completed what seemed to he our most difficult year of schooling. lt was different. exciting. and fun: hut most of all it gave us a year more of experience. XYith the guidance of the facultx' we have learned to accept difficulties with a mature understanding. XXX- have learned to accept responsihilities with self-confidence and poise: to respect our teach- ers and fellow students. and to show good sports- manship. XYe have now completed the hasic suhjects of our chosen high school courses. Next rear. we shall take different paths according to personal interests. and we helieve we are thoroughly prepared. Our class president was Billie Xlercantez vice-president. Ronald Brookyg secretary-tra-asur- er. Kenneth Chadderton. Our officers were good workers. Thex' knew their respousihilities and knew how to take care of them. The class colors were lwlue and white. and our flower was the white rose. Our motto was. Nightwork isnit realli' heaven. hut it will help us graduate in '5Tl This year the most popular sport with our lmoys was lmaskethall. Un the junior lligh School haskethall team were Ken Chadderton. Xlayne Backus. Ralph Cepec. Ronnie Brooky. Terrv llarkins. David Fowler. Clarence Duke. llonnie Keller. Thomas Xlahon. and ltolmert ltomano. XYe are proud of every one of them. The two junior high cheerleaders from ninth grade were Carole Schenck and Janice Ifletcher. The hoys that plavcd footlmall were Steven Snee. Ronald Keller. and Donald Lang. Kenneth Ghaddarton was a manager. XYe presented our assemhly program in Xlarch. lt was a variety show with George l.ohr as Xlaster of Ceremonies. The main entertain- ers were Janet Greene. accordiazuistg Carl Thomp- son. with his electric guitarg and Verna Nlclilwee. vocalist. These that took part in the skit were Kenneth Ghadderton. Kenneth Locke. Sandra Borst. Nancy Stauss. Hohert Romano. Elizabeth Clinton. and Curtiss Cook. .-Xll participants were verx' good. XYe held a dance the same month and it also proved to he a success. The ninth grade student council niemhers were Ronald Brooky. Xlarlene Xlillar. Elaine Litehenfels. and Tohn George. XYe now have to look forward and must strixe to make the rg-st of our high school career as successful as this year. to rememher what we have heen taught and to work for the good of our school and our future.
