SENIOR CLASS HISTORY lnterestmg acttvttres began for us early IH our school days In Butldlng Il we began IU fourth grade w1th a mustcal f1fth a DICHIC to the reservolr and slxth a VlS1l to the c1rcus ln Butldmg l we also began ln fourth grade w1th var1ous llOl1dC1Y programs ttfth a v1s1t to the zoo and tn S1Xll1 we had our own paper called the Stxth Grade Star Upon reachlng Iumor Htgh we merged 1nto one class and 1mmed1ately set about rnaklng frlends by holdlng a get acauamted afternoon tea Th1s was the year ID wluch the I C C flrst opened and our class gave tts full support The followmg year we had our own group act1v1t1es qulte apart from that masslve structure of mystery across the street Ah the b1g day at last We were Freshmen What a thrllll The boys fest1val at Buhl Planetarnum We were also represented ln the Band and mlnstrel In our sophomore year we became consclous of our treasury and under the superv1s1on of Mr Wm Srnlth we sold magazlne subscrlptlons to ra1se money Of course we took trme to welcome the swell gang that came down from Patton We then ordered our rxngs we were qu1te exclted about lt When Class Day ftnally creeped upon us we were already looklng forward to our next year It f1nally came and so d1d our rlngs We had qu1te a varlety IH act1v1t1es Our U S Hlstory Class saw the lnauguratlon of Presxdent Truman on televlslorl.. We also held a rnock elect1on to determme Just how our school would go We voted Democrattc and naturally the whole country followed us Our prom was held at the Roosevelt Hotel where we danced to lack Purcell s orchestra We presented our IUHIOY Play entltled Great Caesar s Ghost Then came the grand fmale durlng thrs year the semors were qulte actlve IH startlng a student counc1l We hope 1t stays for good Then the Joy of the prom school DICHIC sen1or p1ctures class day Baccalaureate and at long last commencement 9 4 7 l I took to sports and the girls to the Tri-Ht-Y.
