Here, Fran, Blanche, and Dinah dress as little girls for their initiation. The officers are as follows: Nona Hyatt, President; Mary EUen Hyde, Reporter; Linda Beck, Secretary; Pat Murray, Vice President; Doris Ford, Treasurer. Miss Greec is the sponsor of F.T.A. teachers of America The Future Teachers of America is a club that encourages young people to enter the field of teacliing. Some of the projects have been selling wrapping paper at Christmas and giving the teachers a tea. Everyone at Pisgah is sure to know the members of the F.T.A. on their initiation day. They return to the first grade in dress that is; wearing short skirts, knee socks, huge bows in their hair, and carrying their favorite stuffed animal. The editors of The Bruin Trail staff are Mike Ingle editor and Mike Ray co-editor. Mrs. Burnette is the sponsor of the paper staff. The Bruin Trail “Beat of the Bears’’ The Bruin Trail staff of Pisgah High School work hard to make the newspaper a big success. After much planning the newspaper is published once a month. The Bruin Trail is received with great enthusiasm by the students because of its wide variety of articles.
