STUDENT COUNCIL Today, our Student Council’s aims are to promote a high standard of citizenship, stu¬ dent interest, participation, co-operation, and the general welfare of the school. The Coun¬ cil meets regularly with the elected home room representatives who inform their home rooms of the proceedings. The student council officers are Randy Medford, president; Mike Matthews, vice-president; Mike Ray, treasurer; and Carolyn Pressley, secretary. The homeroom representatives of the student council are as follows: Sandy Singleton, Lynn Bumgarner, Darlene Earley, Marcia Willis, Joyce Hargroove, Ruth Ann Howell, Lynn Pless, Donnell Moore, Danny Long, Roger McKinney, David Rathbone, Charles Pace, Tommy Trimble, and Gary Sloan. 92

The executive committee of the Student Council consists of Sharon Byers, Nina Han¬ ey, Martha Barkby, Patricia Green, Margaret Mitchell, David Conard, Carroll Jones, Steve Waddell, James Hipps, and Dotty Lanning. Another group of representatives are: Luanna Ford, Jenny Crisp, Linda Reeves, Jill Penland, Brenda Stanley, Carolyn Wilson, Nancy Jones, John Plemmons, Steve Hardin, Jerry Craigg, George Thomas, Kevin Hall, Bruce Cay ton, and Mike Woods.
