THE 1968 PISGAHTEER STAFF Mike Smathers, Cherry Cody, Darlene Earley, Marcia Willis, Nina work, they are now prepared to handle the making of the annual Haney, and Robert Allen became members of the annual staff without with experience, the least idea of what they were going to do. After a year of hard We, the PISGAHTEER staff of 1968, faced a tremend- our challenge as we began working on our annual last fall. Last year’s staff produced a prize-winning yearbook, and we wanted to continue this tradition. With only three experience members returning from last year, many difficulties arose that were not fore¬ seen. Despite layout changes, lack of pictures, typing errors, and short deadlines, the 1968 PISGAHTEER has, in some miraculous way, finally become a reality. Without the excellent guidance of Mrs. Churm and the help with finances from Mrs. Hyde, the work would never have been completed. We hope that you, the students of Pisgah Senior High School, will find as much enjoyment in the result of our efforts as we have had in producing the annual—The 1968 PISGAH¬ TEER: The annual staff would like to thank Randy Drake and Jeff Deweese for taking and developing our pic¬ tures. We appreciate the time they have taken from their studies and activities to help make this annual a reality. 149

JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM It’s fun to plan and decorate for the prom. It’s even more fun to enjoy the results. The year of 1967 marked the first prom held at P.H.S. The spirit was high, and a night of fun was enjoyed by all. “Three Coins in a Fountain” was the theme which set the mood for an enchanting evening. Before the dance a luscious banquet was enjoyed by teachers and students. This prom will remain in the minds of all Juniors who worked to sell hose and to make this a night to remember for the Seniors who would be the first to leave the doors of P.H.S.
