George Thomas, George Fish, and Steve Bradish, John Plemmons, Robert Allen, Rego Jones, James Tucker, Jones also played on this team. Lyndon Phillips, Carroll Wright, Kenny Sutton, Steve Hardin, Danny BEAR CUBS’ BASKETBALL SQUAD The Pisgah High School Bear Cubs, under the coaching direction of Mr. Bill Stamey, completed the season with an outstanding record of 15 wins to 5 losses. Our school is very proud of them and is looking forward to s eeing them play on the varsity team next year. Their combination of six juniors and eight sophomores equal a team full of pep and what it takes to win.

Many are never able to say they have achieved greatness. The Pisgah High Bearettes, through hard work and undying desire, set out to prove they would not play second to anyone. Coach Boyd Allen did a tremendous job in preparing the girls for their victorious season. Then, by the steady hand of Coach Harold Singleton, the mighty Bearettes traveled onward to win the Blue Ridge Conference.
