CHEERLEADERS Pisgah’s cheerleaders, sponsored by Mrs. Anita Churm, are headed by Patricia Green, captain, and assisted by Lorene Sprinkle. The cheerleaders have done much this year to raise school spirit. Besides cheering at football and basketball games and wrestling matches, they have made bulletin boards, held pep rallies, and led spirit trains. Its members must be willing to practice long and hard all the songs Mr. Raines presents to them, whether they are old or new ones. Providing beautiful music in songs for the White Christmas program is one of the chorus ' s contributions to our school curriculum. The 1967-1968 Pisgah High Band majorettes are as follows; Pam Howell, senior; Carolyn Pressley, junior; and Donnell Moore, senior. No band is complete without its majorettes. After much practice these six majorettes have won the honor of marching in front of the band at parades and football games. Because of talent, beauty, marching ability, and twirling ability, Pisgah’s majorettes have won the hearts of thousands. The brave and fearless leader of our band is Max Bumgardner. He captures the undivided attention of the band during halftime and leads them in performing many great shows. MAJORETTES AND DRUM MAJOR The other half of our majorette corps is as follows: Mary Anne Rogers, senior; Judy Stamey, senior; and Martha Barkley, senior.
