Walter Brown, Ronnie Deaver, Steve Waddell, Harry Lipham, Roger Hinson, Jimmy Smart, Carroll Jones, Dale Haney, Garry Crisp, Wayne Shumolis, Randy Burrell, Randy Drake, Randy McCarter, Dyatt Smathers, Roger Broyles, Terry Mease, James Sams, Don Davis, James Hipps, Joe Morgan, Jimmy Woody, and Robert Eggleston are the male members of the Math Club, The female members include Lorene Sprinkle, Carolyn Haney, Sharon Haley, Shirley Freel, Gwen Woodard, Nancy Jones, Diana Jaynes, Linda Pless, Margaret Mitchell, Linda Reeves, Marilyn Mease, Luanna Ford, Susan Shumolis, Mary Snakenberg, and Jennifer Crisp. These students are enrolled in advanced mathematics taught by Mr. McClure. MATH CLUB QUILL AND SCROLL The Quill and Scroll features students of Pisgah Senior High School who have made outstanding contributions in the field of journalism. This is a national organization founded to encourage young people to develop their writing talents. In order to be a member of this honorary organization, one must be in the upper third of his class. Members this year are Margaret Mitchell, Susan Shumolis, Joy Holland, Starlene Johnson, Beth Phillips, Nina Haney, Darlene Earley, Cherry Cody, Linda Reeves, Shelia Hannah, Cathey Lane, Jennifer Crisp, Robert Allen, Danny Long, Kenny Snyder, Mike Ingle, Nancy Jones, and Luanna Ford. All of these contribute to our school by working on the Bruin Trail or the Pisgahteer.

The Science Club of Pisgah Senior High School provides enrichment to students interested in all fields of science. The members in the club arrange science programs for the entire student body. Field trips and interesting films are among their activities. Under the worthy sponsorship of Mr. Marshall and Mr. Poston, the members add much to their science classes by their enrollment in the Science Club. Officers and sponsors of the Science Club are as follows: Mr. Poston, sponsor; Cathy Lane, secretary; Mr. Marshall, sponsor; Deborah Brown, president; and Marc Pruett, treasurer. MONOGRAM CLUB “What for you, buddy?” The Monogram Club is an organization for all the students of Pisgah High School who letter in any of Pisgah’s many interscholastic sports. It is one of our newer clubs, for it was formed last year at the end of foot¬ ball season. Promoting good sportsmanship and fair play, the Monogram Club is one of our school’s finest clubs. Young athletes have the op¬ portunity to be a service to their school through its many activities. At present, one of the club’s projects is to run the concession stand during the basketball and wrestling games. Heading the club this year are David Miller, president; Mike Mathews, vice-president; Elaine Hall, secretary; Joe Morgan, treasurer; and Paul Gillis, sergeant-at-arms. The Monogram Club also has a board of directors. The members of the board this year are Patricia Green, Doug Clark, Mike Ray, Steve Hardin, and James Hipps.
