NORTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY ASSOCIATION The Library Club of Pisgah High has many projects. Putting drapes in the library is one of the most important. During Christmas, the members sponsored their annual pot-luck dinner. The lucky students that are selected to attend look forward to the convention that is held every year. Under the guidance of Mrs. Bohnsdahl, the club sponsor, the members gain much in the world of books. In addition, the members work in the library dur¬ ing the school day. They check out books, aid stu¬ dents, and keep the books in order. Officers of the club are as follows: Linda Mangogna, vice-president; Carolyn Wilson, President; Rose Turner, treasurer; Debbie Miller, secretary; and Rachael Alli¬ son,social chairman. Members of the Vica Club are Linda Mull, Ann Cathey, Susan Pace, Lester, Janet Brown, Eva Mae Burke, Linda Winfield, Alan Worley, Jackie Knight, Judy Stamey, Frankie Smith, Wanda Sharp, Nancy Donald Burnette, Robert Gaddis, and Tommy Queen. VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OF AMERICA The Pisgah chapter of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America was organized this year to unite all students enrolled in trade and industrial education. VICA offers a program of co-curricular activities that gives a student more than occupational skill development. Officers of Vica are Edna Worley, president; Clara Trull, treasurer; Karen Wells, reporter; Lynn Bumgarner, parliamentarian; Paula Sheehan, secretary; Janice Sutton, vice-president; and Mrs. Garrett, sponsor. The Science Club of Pisgah Senior High School provides enrichment to students interested in all fields of science. The members in the club arrange science programs for the entire student body. Field trips and interesting films are among their activities. Under the worthy sponsorship of Mr. Marshall and Mr. Poston, the members add much to their science classes by their enrollment in the Science Club. Officers and sponsors of the Science Club are as follows: Mr. Poston, sponsor; Cathy Lane, secretary; Mr. Marshall, sponsor; Deborah Brown, president; and Marc Pruett, treasurer.
