1966-67 Presents Many Problems to School Leaders Mr. Leatherwood Assistant Superintendent The 1966-67 Haywood County School Board is to be commended for the excellent job it has done in getting our new schools functioning properly. Mr. Melton, the superintendent, along with his assistants, Mr. Dale and Mr. Leatherwood, has worked very hard in their efforts to head all the educational programs. The school board is also composed of competent men who make the crucial decisions for the future of our school system. The members include Mr. Hugh McCracken, Dr. Hugh Daniels, Mr. Max Rogers, Mr. Ray Burnette, Mr. Hugh Ro¬ gers, Dr. Mack Setzer, Mr. David Noland, Mr. Joe Cline, Mr. Harry Holland, Mr. Bill Brown, and Mr. Edwin Hyatt. 12

Mrs. Matthews and Mr. Holcomb direct the students in their studies and plans for the future. As we continue through the administration building, we enter the offices of our guidance coun¬ selors, Mrs. Matthews and Mr. Holcomb. They guide us in our decisions for the present. . .and the future. Also important members of the staff are the teachers aides. They are Mrs. Karriker, Mrs. Rice, Mrs. Styles, and Mrs. Jack- son. Mrs. Karriker, Mrs. Rice, Mrs. Stiles, and Mrs. Jackson are very efficient in their role as teachers ' aides for our school. 1 4
