Pisgah Boasts Best Team in W.N.C. Experience and depth are the keys to the Bear ' s success. When you have outstanding play¬ ers from Bethel, Canton, Clyde, and Reynolds blended with a fine coach, the results are not a surprise. The Bears have attained the title of Blue Ridge Conference Champions. Pisgah High is the only team with two boys on the All Western North Carolina team. They are Dennis Grant and Larry Goodwin. Also, Pisgah has three boys on the Blue-White Team. They are Dennis Grant, Larry Goodwin, and Harold Edwards. Other boys whose efforts have contributed much to the Bear ' s success are Eddie Miller, Carroll Jones, Jack Hol¬ land, Charles Bryson, Jimmy Poston, and Billy Trull. With a good bench to be proud of, Mr. Hol¬ comb played Hayes Powell, Terry Brown, Paul Gillis, Melvin Robinson, Marvin Parrish, and Jerry Henson. The Bear ' s gr-r-r-eat record will be long remembered in the following years. Larry and Dennis jump for victory again.
