The members of the Pep Club are Karen Wells, Sherri Moses, Jackie Denton, Katy Lynn Hall, Brenda Ed¬ wards, Marta Earley, Debbie Allen, Sharon Haley; Lynn Bumgardner, Nancy Jones, Mary Ann Smathers, Carol Gibson, Ruth Ann Thompson, Shelia Hannah, Peggy Knight, Shirley Mease, Rosemary Morgan; Beth Armstrong, Diane West, Judy Stamey, Juanita Lankford, Kathey Gibson, Rachael Lankford and Nina Haney. The Pep Club is led by the two al¬ ternate cheerleaders, Carolyn Haynie and Debbie Allen. They help make posters for the ballgames and learn all of the cheers for pep rallies. The Pep Club and Pep Band Help Promote the School Spirit at Pisgah. The members of the Pep Band are Julia Mills, Sharon Byers, Freida Wells, Mary Snakenburg; Sharon Craig, Alta Foster, Gary Sloan; Fred Clark, Janis Smathers, Bush Cathey, Scott Goodman, Ann Peyton, Tim Moses, Gerald Rogers, Kenny Blay¬ lock; Don Pace, Robert Eggleston, Gene Michael, Bruce Henderson, and Danny Simpson. The pep band does much to boost school spirit. Besides playing at pep rallies, tliey also at¬ tend all home ballgames to support our team.

Members of the Monogram Club are Joe Morgan, Jerry Caldwell, David Miller, Kent Duckworth, Carroll Jones, Steve Mason, Tim Jacobs, Eddie Miller; James Hipps, Billy Trull, Melvin Robinson, Jimmy Poston, Paul Gillis, Harold Edwards, Dennis Grant, Larry Goodwin; Jerry Henson, Donella Wilson, Susie Rogers, Elaine Hall, Pat Howard, Juanita Lankford, Rachael Lankford, Mar¬ vin Parrish; Steve Williams, Joyce Hargrove, Shirley Clark, Shirley Thompson, Pam Howell, Dale Heatherly, Nancy Holland, Lorene Sprinkle, Patricia Green; Charley Brison, Brenda Stamey, Judy Williams, Wanda Matthews, Linda Earley, Jan Johnson, Gail Medford, Carin Hall, Terry Barrett; Mike Matthews, David Conard, Doug Clark, Woody Fish, Jack Holland, Vic Inman, and Butch Smathers. They Have Earned the “P” Pig ' s Powells” included Corset Duckworth, Altitude Jacobs, Jealous Josephine Morgan, Geronimay Clark, Stephanie Williams; Geraldine Ophilia Caldwell, Sara Belle Miller, Boobsie Smathers, Vickie Inman, and Playtes Hipps. To be eligible for the Monogram Club, one must receive a letter in some sport or cheerlead¬ ing plus being voted into the club by its members. This year the club has worked in the concession stand at basketball games, played the Bearettes” in basketball, sponsored sock hops, and other things that have made them a popular club around school. The officers are Kent Duckworth, president; David Miller, vice-president; Tim Jacobs, secretary; Steve Mason, treasurer; and Jerry Caldwell, ser¬ geant-at-arms. Sponsors are Mr. Allen, Mr. Powell, Mr. Holcomb, and Mr. Turner. Sara found herself two nice ' uns.

The Science Seminar consists of a group of students who are outstanding in the field of science. The members are Gary Sloan, Peggy Lanning, Randy Drake, Ronnie Deaver, Donald Burnette, Harry Lipham, Delaine Haynes, Roger Higgins, Mark Brown, Shirley Freel, Monty Bueker, Charles Brock, Pres.; Jimmy Sams, Gene Michael, and Drew Clark. Pisgah Is Well Represented in Science Seminar Office Assistants Are Valuable These girls help the secretaries and teachers to make their tasks easier. They are Rita Wells, Brenda Pen- land, Alba Jo Cook, Pam Cole, Retha Greene, and Nancy Lance. 108
