These students must be in the upper third of their class and be outstanding in some phase of school publications work. Quill and Scroll and Mathematics Seminar Are Two Honorary Societies at Pisgah Members of the Mathematics Seminar are Carolyn Woodard, Nancy Lance, Susan Pickens, Alta Foster, Janis Smathers, Krista Neal; Vick Inman, Rex Bolden, Dennis Grant, Mike Bull, Lynn Sorrells; Eddie Underwood, David Cauble, Gene Michael, Charles Brock, and Neil Davis. Members become eligible to join by maintaining a B” average in the advanced Mathematics class. The Future Homemakers of America was created to promote a growing ap¬ preciation of the joys and satisfactions of homemaking, and to emphasize the importance of worthy home membership. The motto is Toward New Horizons . This motto is a challenge to its mem¬ bers, for it reminds members that their contributions to home life today will in¬ fluence the kinds of homes they have tomorrow. To be eligible for the Monogram Club, one must receive a letter in some sport or cheerlead¬ ing plus being voted into the club by its members. This year the club has worked in the concession stand at basketball games, played the Bearettes” in basketball, sponsored sock hops, and other things that have made them a popular club around school. The officers are Kent Duckworth, president; David Miller, vice-president; Tim Jacobs, secretary; Steve Mason, treasurer; and Jerry Caldwell, ser¬ geant-at-arms.
