The purpose of Le Cercle Francais, the French Club, is to promote friendship and understanding of French-speaking people. This is accomplished through a study of their culture and language. The club appreciates Mrs. Lowaine Wilson ' s leadership in this. Le Cercle Francais members will remember for years to come the day they wore berets and carried French bread for their initiation. French Club officers are as follows: Judy Westmoreland, recording secre¬ tary; Steve Bradley, sergeant-at-arms; Iris Smathers, vice-president; Susan Shumolis, reporter; Nancy Lance, president; Alta Foster, corresponding secretary; Mike Thompson, treasurer; and Tony Thompson, sergeant-at- arms. Makes Our Future Business Executives The Future Business Leaders of America is composed of our youth of today who will be tomorrow’s leaders in the business world. The club, sponsored by Mrs. Edith Phillips, has twenty-three members. Its purpose is to accumulate profit from the sale of their proj¬ ects to buy equipment to be used within the school. Cervantes Studies Spanish Speaking Countries The purpose of the Spanish Club is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. This club is under the able leadership of Miss Blay. One of their projects is to purchase materials for use in the Spanish classes.
