The Junior Civitan Club of Pisgah Senior High School has been very active this year. At the beginning of the 1966-67 school year, invita¬ tions were sent to students from all four schools involved in consolidation. The club now has an enrollment of forty-one members. Under the old Canton High School Charter it now boasts one of the oldest charters in the United States. These members are outstanding students who promote good citizenship and help serve their communi¬ ties well. This year they have sponsored many fund raising projects. Among these are selling candy, bookcovers, and having bake sales. The money is used for many projects. Sponsoring two fami¬ lies at Christmas and giving a scholarship to an outstanding senior at graduation, are two of these. The club sponsored a radio program election week urging citizens to get out and vote. It also sponsors a radio program about activities around Pisgah High.
