Richardson. Well-known to the students for his unusual intelligence and wide- ranging interests, Pop shares with us his travel experiences, his appreciation for comedy, his interest in great literature, and his altruistic philosophy of life. Pop, teacher of English, speech, and Spanish, director of all dramatic activities, and adviser to the Spanish Club, still finds time in his busy schedule to be friend and confidante to all. His ever-present smile radiates cheerfulness and seems to minimize all our troubles. l'We need the comrade heart that understands. . .' Under the leadership of its officers, elected january 26, and its adviser, Mr. Wendell Carter, the juniors worked hard to plan the junior-Senior Prom. They undertook various projects to provide funds for this important social event, one of which was the selling of Christmas cookies and candy bars. Proceeds from the class play, The Form Divine, under the direction of Robert S. Richardson, also added to the treasury. With these finances the class planned a gala prom and set aside a fund for the coming year. The group sang twice during the Christmas season: once at St. Paul's Church and again for the Piqua Garden Club. The Chorus supplemented the Varsity Choir in the annual Christmas concert and for the spring musical, Our Salute to Music. Commenting on this vocal group, Director john Davis says: This group fills a need in the school for the training of students not selected for the Varsity Choir. Many students like to sing who did not make the first group this year. They could improve and find enjoyment through singing in the chorus.
