We want to emphasize the freedom, opportunities, and advantages that the public school system has made available to its students. It is through the interest of our community that our school has become a place in which to develop our education, learn to become good citizens, and prepare ourselves for the future. It is our obligation as students to accept and appreciate these responsibilities. ' As we recall the inscription on the Statue of Liberty, Give me your tired, your poor . . . I lift my lamp beside the golden door , we must realize that only in this great country are these privileges offered to all. Most of us will look back on our high school days as the happiest and most productive days of our lives.
