High students are fully justified in attributing the high standards of educational opportunity in the Piqua public schools to the five men who comprise the Board of Education. It is through their wise leadership and capable guidance that we, graduates and prospective citizens, are able to meet the future well prepared. Board members keenly aware of their responsibility to the city, and especial- ly to its youth spend much time deciding upon school policies and procedures, trying always to provide the best available textbooks, equipment, buildings, and teachers. All students and citizens of this town express sincere gratitude to these men for their aid in school and civic betterrnents. Page Six PRINCIPAL ROBERT G. WINTER SUPERINTENDENT C. M. Never can we forget the fun, the work, the joys, the sorrows we had at P. H. S. These we shall remember always but most of all we shall remember our fellow students and teachers, who helped to make school so enjoyable. It is with sadness that we leave our beloved Alma Mater, but with eagerness we step through the doors of P. H. S. and go to take our places in a larger world of work and learning. The will and spirit to play football was there, but the team lacked depth and experience. A11 the boys played hard and did their very best to win. We should all be proud of these boys, for their wonderful sportsmanship ancl their unfaltering interest in the game to the very last. Next years experienced sophomores and juniors should be able to come through and make a good showing in MVL competition. Graduating seniors this year are: Gene Schneider, Herb Ernst, Don Eichel- berger, Sherman Robinson, Fred Thomas, Bill Baugh, Bob Ritter, Charles Walton, Chris Evans, Sonny Thomas, and Dick Shuttleworth. zzz G ' A' , ..,, ...,..,.. ,I f -3525 ., -, ' ':: :: .fifi-5:2 :s::5z:::2z':-2-2 I'1:.iz5?Efiii:a:as::::e:a5sf1'1-:ESE-ESeIsI1'2E': - - - William Wehr, our new and well liked football coach who was previously assistant football coach at Mlalnl University had a tough job of welding our football team ' , - - - - - into a solid, smooth functioning unit. is But with a well experienced team coming back next ' . , - - - A year, plus Coach Wehr s ability, the team should rank high ,,..
