Grammar gives way to expression as students mature in their need for communication. Drawing from great books by contemporary and classical authors, the student learns, then creates. The English department is headed by Mrs. Carolyn Sawka, well-known by every Piper student for her teaching tactics on the eight parts of speech. What is a noun?
