Prominent Seniors Attain Awards Every year fifteen Bank of America Awards are presented to graduating Seniors of Pioneer who have displayed outstanding achievements in certain fields. These include Art, Drama, Music, English, Foreign Languages. Social Stu dies, Laboratory Science. Mathematics, Business, Home Economics, and Trades and Industrial. Eleven of the Seniors received certificates for their various categories and the remaining four received plaques for general areas. The plaque winners are then eligible to compete with other winners in the Whittier area. The Seniors receiving plaques are Jennifer Lee — Fine Arts, Raul Dominguez — Liberal Arts, Michael Chen — Science and Mathematics, and Laurel Hoggan — Vocational Arts. All the Award Winners are selected according to their grade point average, teacher recommendations and guidance personnel. This year ' s D.A.R. Citizenship Award Winner was Carol Menzel.
