lff k lfr E fy! gwwv Nl UW U THEME PAGE Science has advanced far in the p'ast few centuries, but it has not yet found a way to change the trip down the road of life from a walk to a ride. Life is still made up of foot- steps. These are footsteps to be taken carefully, one at a time. Life is a step-by-step process. The road of life is an intricate one. It's a road of puzzles. Each step we take puts another piece in the puzzle, and brings us closer to a complete picture. The road of life runs through fields of hope and meadows of memories. It is a well-traveled road-a road which leads from the past, through the present, and into the future. The road of life runs through the land of education. Elementary school, junior high school, high school, and college are all nations which we encounter as we journey through life. Our journey through the city of our freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year has ended. The freshmen have finished a trip through a city of corners. They know now what to expect around the corners to come, and they are far wiser for the experience. The soph- omores have completed the longest part of their journey. Their goal is within reach now, and they will start the next part of their journey with the new, increased enthusiasm of up- perclassmen. The juniors are reaching for the top rung of the ladder of high school educa- tion. Next year they have the job of filling the shoes vacated by the seniors, and they attack this task with zest and vigor. The seniors enter a new world. They are young, and yet old enough to face the trials and turmoil of a world in crisis. They are ending four years of learning, and advancing to bigger jobs ahead of them. We remember this year by the footsteps we have taken. This book records the imprint we all have made at Pioneer during the past year, 1964-1965. Therefore we have based the theme of our yearbook on those things which make up our journeys of life We hope that this book will serve as a guide to the past year . . . that it to light your way through fields of remembrance to many happy memories.
