Pioneer students participated in and supported this year's schedule of convocations and pep sessions. The convocations presented this year ranged from Shakespeare to Professor Gizmo, from the Evansville High School Band to our own Pioneer Jr. Sr. High Choirs' Hour of Entertainment. The pep sessions gave the students and teams a chance to show their spirit. Spirit Weeks were held throughout the school year in which contests were held to determine which class had the most pep. In the last pep session it was decided that the Seniors had the most b sPirit- a Members of the choir really get into their music, b M. A Rainbow of Love was this year's theme of the Sweetheart's Ball. The Sweetheart's Ball is an annual dance held by the Sunshine Society. This year's dance took place on February 24. Each club sponsors a queen candidate from which five finalists are voted on by the student body. The queen is then selected from these five finalists on the night of the dance by the attending couples. This year's queen was Kim Barr. Pam Simons, Dawn Musall, Susan Kiser, and Melita Goodrich made up her court, b a P.
