Mr. Dix, through his unfailing interest in our scholarship and extracurricular activities, has helped us and the many PJHS students before us begin the journey toward a better and happier life. We are proud to dedicate this yearbook to him. Mr. Dix has been the Vice-Principal of Pinole Junior High School since 1968 and served as Principal during the 1960 and 61 summer school sessions. He was Vice-Principal of Portola Junior High School from 1958 to 1968 and has been Dean of Granada Junior High School and Longfellow Junior High School. He taught mathematics and science before he became an adminstrator. During the fall semester of 1971 he was the acting Principal of Helms Junior High Schoolg the fall semester of 1972 he was the acting Principal of Downer Junior High School. Mr. Dix has dedicated himself to our scholastic betterment by encouraging the best possible learn- ing atmosphere in our classes. He has worked tirelessly with the student legislature helping them to plan their activities. He has given invaluable assistance to the yearbook staff as an excellent photographer and advisor.
