PRAYER FOR A CHURCH Tho I am built of stone and sand and clay, I'm dedicated to Thy service here. To keep this place in honor to Thy name, And lift my spire to things that men hold dear, May reverence abide, and contrite hearts Kneel at my alters and Thy blood atoneg May mercy light the candles at this shrine, And justice fill the chalice at Thy throne. Help those, Dear Lord, who gather strength in me, To bear forth truth unto a better dayg As golden sunlight falls through colored panes, May loving kindness shine through those who pray. I-II-Y There are in the United States over nine thousand Hi-Y Clubs with a total membership of more than 350,000 boys and girls. There are 400 Hi-Y Clubs and Tri-Hi-Y Clubs in Indiana with an enrollment of 12,000 youth. These clubs take as their purpose the pledge to create, maintain and extend throughout the school and community, high standards of Christian character. They build their program on a four-square platform of Clean speech, Clean sport, Clean living, and clean scholarship. The Hi-Y emblem is composed of the red triangle which is emblematic of the unity of spirit, mind and body--the White Cross, the emblem of supreme sacrifice standing for the light and purity of the life of Jesus, which is the central theme of the Hi-Y movement. The principles of Hi-Y through its purpose and platform, are expressive of the Master's way of living. The Hi-Y movement has chosen Christ as its leader, and measures its service by His ideals.
