Black and Gold Times Continues to Grow With the second year of publication of the school news- paper, students found themselves enjoying its feature sections more and more. Under the leadership of Johnny Blizzard, the staff created an image and displayed school life through sections such as sports, current events, individual composi- tions by students, and of course, the ever - present gossip section. The paper is published once a month. Mrs. Linda Paderick, advisor, editor, run off the first copies and Johnny Blizzard, of the third edition. The staff members of the newspaper work hard to see that an edition is published that is not only entertaining but also educational. 39

Martha Hill is busy replacing borrowed materials into the informational file, Charles Miles, Alice Sarvis, Ralph Herron, and Rosemary Taylor are performing a daily job for Library Club members - - straightening the magazines, Library Club Strives to Improve Our Most Important Research Area The library is an indispensable part of our elementary and high school program. Students from all classes come here to gain knowledge on hundreds of subjects and to read for pure relaxation and enjoyment. The Library Club members help to make library experiences more meaningful to stu- dents by carefully and systematically working for a neat and modern library, Club officers are Joyce Smith, president; Dianne Taylor, Rose Howard, Susan Murphy, and Rose- mary Taylor.
