30 Beta Club The Pink Hill Chapter of the National Beta Club considers character, scholarship, and service in the awarding of its membership. The scholastic requirement is that the individual have a scholastic average of 90 and maintain an average of 88. Each year the Beta Club undertakes many use- ful projects, for financial gain as well as for helping underprivileged families in our community. These projects are supported through a White Christmas, dances, suppers, and selling school bracelets. The highlight of the Beta year comes in April when many of our members attend the conven- tion that is held annually in Ashville or Raleigh.
