THE RECORD X-133 mx 61 Second Row: Ostroff, Wallwork, Bober, Rosenbaum, Popp, Wolansky, Mrs. Llonettl First Row: Clarick, Karp, Tlschman The Pingry Record, Pingry's largest monthly newspaper, enjoyed a banner year, thanks to a bumper crop of seniors who were trained as un- derclassmen by the loving and patient Mrs. Pat Llonetti. As freshmen, Greg Clarick and Jon Karp became involved. As sophomores, Bill Os- troff and David Tischman added their innovative energy to the young staff. As juniors, under the guidance of Mrs. Llonettl and Editor-in-chief Lauren Bober, this staff learned the ropes, made their mistakes, and got some valuable exper- lence under their belts. Classes ln journalism and visits to scholastic journalism conventions also gave the young crew, of which Amy Rosenbaum had become an integral part, the knowledge to run the paper more efficiently, and more stylisti- cally, as seniors. And as this Record staff has become closer, more people have become a part of the family. Lyric Wallwork, two years younger than the sen- iors, made up for what she lacked in experience with talent, guts, and chutzpah. James Popp and Brad Wolansky added to the attractiveness of the paper with their crisp, quality photos. Mike Weinsteln's cartoons took a humorous look at some of Pingry's more bizarre aspects, and John Quinn's knack of finding mistakes in the copy enhanced the Record's readability. Eric Mannis drummed up some money ln the form of ads, and Suzanne Bober, the circulation manager, made sure no one was deprived of reading The Pingry Record. Mrs. Lionetti advised, assisted, cooked for, and befriended everyone involved, and Colby 8a McGowan, the professional printing company working with the high school amateurs, helped the group through many a deadline.
