March 29, 19441 To the Readers: Although the problems of publishing a yearbook during a period of skyrocketing costs and binding restrictions have been tremendous, it has been our general purpose to injeet a bit more originality and sparkle into the Blue Book without subtracting from its essential dignity. Through the use of color, ll101'C pictures, added new features, and in particular, employ- ing a more ustreanilinedw layout and attractive design, we have hoped to improve the volume and pave the way for better Blue Books in the years to come.
