She guided us throunh the first arithmetic. flvina weather and a plrasant journey thus far. During the fourth lap, Miss Nancy Erwin was our Pilot. She Guid- ed us throuvh our first year of aeography. On our journey through knowledqe we have been learninn something new every day. So it was not unusual for Miss Coleman, our Pilot on the fifth lap of our journey, should Pilot us into our first history. We are now approaching the first half of our journey with Miss Hd.en Alexander as our Pilot. This time, two new passengers, Betsy Rea and Fred, joined us. Our Pilot, Miss Alexander, must have liked her passancers because she again joined us on the seventh lap of our journey. Now we are entering the eighth lap. We are wide awake now because we just lack one more lap before entering high school. Miss Vera Nickles was our pilot. Three more passengers joined us this lap, Joanne Brown, Alvie Grace, and Bill Thomas. Many of our passanners had left our plane as we entered hiqh school. We are now on the ninth lap of our journey. We still have high hopes of reaching our destination as Miss Vera Nickles was asain our Pilot. On the tenth lap we were really flying hioh. With Mr. Flatt to guide us were twenty passengers entering the eleventh lap of our trip. We then have five of our passangers on the basketball team. The eleventh turn of our trip carried with it much excitement. Piloted by Miss Gradye Patterson, we sponsered a Junior-Senior Han- quet. The passancers of the plane save a play entitled TOO MANY HEL' ATIVES which proved Q creat success. We were proud of our basketball team that year because we went to the finals in the championship. We were proud of two of our passanaers especially, Don Blankenship and Alvie Grace, who were on the All-county Team that year. One of our passengers were married during this year. This is the last lap of our journey. Mrs. Marsh is now our Pilot. We have lost one more of our passanrers, Nnrman Davis, but have rained Lewis Bailes and Ray Kinlev. We feel that this has been the most succ- essful lap of our trip. we have published the school's first ann.ul. We are also doing a lot of work on the school paper, of which Tarrence Robertson is the editor. Our Pilot has just informed us to fasten our safety belts, be- cause were safely landing our plane at our destination, nAHigh School Diploman with 17 passanners aboard. 2l
