ALUMNI OF 1956 Bobby Bariett is finishing his first year at the University of North Carolina. Stanley Black has boon doing carpentry work. Marvin Prve is emoloyed by Shaw Paint Company in Southern Pines. Rumeli Cordon is at home. Johnsie Kanov is finishing her first year at Flora Macdonald College in Red Borings. She has decided to go for four years. Carol HcKhnzie is finishing her commercial course at Flora Macdonald, also. Maggie McKenzie is employed by a High Foint Bank, but she plans to return home and work at the Sandhills Furniture Company in West End in the office. Rudolph Reeves is with the Navy. He is stationed at San Diego, California. Louise Spangler is working at the Golf VJorld in Pinehurst. Catherine Vest is now employed in the office of the Carthage Mill. She is engaged to Billy Paul Cole and plans to b. married the 29th of June. John Weatherly is also finishing his firrt year at Carolina. Bobby Willard is employed by Field's Plumbing and Heating in Pinehurst. The guest speaker was Coach Sid Varney of Lion College. All present thor- oughly enjoyed his tall;. The dinner v as prepared and served by Kiss Sums and several girls free, the Hone Ec. Department. The football team had a won-lost record cf 3-4, which in- cluded a near-upset of 56 state six-nan football Champs, .Southern fines. BASEBALL ;.T P.H.S. The Finchurst baseball team won four ga .es and lost five this season. This was an improvement over last year’s record. The team won games from Farm Lifc(2), Y estmoorc, and Carthage. The team, playing without four starters, lost to Cameron in the tournament, 13-9.
