6'llC!A'3'f0A'Y Ou ouriourney to knowledge on the train of education our conductors were Mrs Grantham and Mrs Boone who guided us safely through our first year of school As we passed through the second grade things went along smoothly under the guidance of Mrs Jameson and Mrs Hatcher Tyrone Page left us to go elsem here With the conclusion of this year we were united with Judy McPhee under direction of Mrs LaMunion and Mrs Johnson who exposed us to our multiplication tables Mary Stewart and Billy Wood boarded the train to help us begin our fourth year Our new conductors were Mrs Touchton and Mis Green We rolled smoothly through the fifth grade with only one addition Sammy Corrad now our conductors were Mrs Stevens and Mr Weatherington Our sixth year was a hard uphill pull under the wise supervision of Mrs Surrency and Mr Hope who aided us greatly We were then Joined by June Tucker During our seventh and eighth years we were unhappily divided the boys were taught by Mr Zinner and the girls were taught by Miss Milton We are happy to say though that we were reunited in the ninth and tenth grades Suddenly something else happened We were divided into summer and winter groups Barbara Blomefield of the class were promoted to sophomores Instructed byMr Hope in our Junior year we received Tyrone Page again Our highlights for this year were thelunior Class Play No Boys Allowed and our successful banquet bidding our farewell to the 1956 Seniors At the start of the senior year the summer seniors and juniors and winter seniors were combined into one class with Mrs Townsend as our sponsor Returning from our Christmas vacation we were minus the December graduates Virgil Grace Sammy C Mary A J Henderson Billy and Oveda The highlights for our Senior year were the Senior Class Play and our Junior Senior Banquet both of which were successful With the wonderful help of Mrs Townsend as our Senior Sponsor and the memories of the year s highlights fresh in mind se are now ready to go into the world seeking our places in life and Our S1UCe1'e JCSIFG 15 tO be a blessing to others thereby proving ourselves worthy to have and to hold Robert Earl Reynolds, Gerry Shuman, Lureda Jenkins, and Jimmy Toole remained freshmen, while the rest W. , . . .. . . .
