As time continues to pass, we are working toward our goal of selling 38,000 worth of magazines so we can take the annual trip to Washington D.C. We are all looking forward to this trip. We had to work harder to even be allowed to consider the trip at all. We had to work harder to even be allowed to consider the trip at all. lThe officers had to go to a Board meeting to ask for permission to go. Cheryl Austin was the brave soul who volunteered to speak for the entire class, though.l 0ur new officers were: Cheryl Austin, President: Jodelle Fox, vice-president, Paula Butcher, treasurer, Tami Snyder, secretary, Pam Dawley, girl representative and Jeff Bailey, boy representative. After Washington, if we make it there, graduation will be just one small step ahead of us. We will all have reached our final goal of high school. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the moment when their name is called to receive their diploma, but l know everyone will be sad that our days as high school kids will be over. lt will be time to go out and brave the big, bad world, all on our own. lt will be tough but I really believe that each member of our class can make it if he or she wants to. Our class, the Class of '81, has been together through both good and bad times. Great parties and skip days have been a kind of trademark for us. The thing that makes our class unique though is the togetherness that we have with one another. I hope that one day, when we are all grown up and have only memories of high school left, this feeling of togetherness will still be there with us. - ,le .. . 1 7
