As time continues to pass, we are working toward our goal of selling 38,000 worth of magazines so we can take the annual trip to Washington D.C. We are all looking forward to this trip. We had to work harder to even be allowed to consider the trip at all. We had to work harder to even be allowed to consider the trip at all. lThe officers had to go to a Board meeting to ask for permission to go. Cheryl Austin was the brave soul who volunteered to speak for the entire class, though.l 0ur new officers were: Cheryl Austin, President: Jodelle Fox, vice-president, Paula Butcher, treasurer, Tami Snyder, secretary, Pam Dawley, girl representative and Jeff Bailey, boy representative. After Washington, if we make it there, graduation will be just one small step ahead of us. We will all have reached our final goal of high school. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the moment when their name is called to receive their diploma, but l know everyone will be sad that our days as high school kids will be over. lt will be time to go out and brave the big, bad world, all on our own. lt will be tough but I really believe that each member of our class can make it if he or she wants to. Our class, the Class of '81, has been together through both good and bad times. Great parties and skip days have been a kind of trademark for us. The thing that makes our class unique though is the togetherness that we have with one another. I hope that one day, when we are all grown up and have only memories of high school left, this feeling of togetherness will still be there with us. - ,le .. . 1 7

September and junior year was suddenly upon us. lVls. Kye and Nlrs. Lindquist were chosen as our new advisors. Cheryl Austin became our new president and Jodelle Fox stayed on as vice president. Lisa Getman continued as secretary while Paula Butcher took over the treasury. Pam Dawley and Jeff Eklund were again voted boy and girl representatives. The moment we'd all been waiting for was finally here, we got our class rings. Everyone was just thrilled about it, l'm sure! After we got our class rings, we started selling the Christmas kits as all of the Junior classes do. llVlore big boxes to carry home to mom and dadll Soon, we were selling light bulbs, our class always was the brightest in the school! At the Homecoming Dance, Lisa Getman and Jeff Eklund were attendants. lt turned out to be quite an evening after the football team defeated Forestville 34-O. Even though this was quite a memorable evening, our Jr.-Sr. Prom was and will always be the most rememorable event of the year. The Prom was held at Cockaigne. We spent all morning the day of the Prom decorating the lodge in mint green and white. Our theme was Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight and the band Steppin' Out filled the lodge with that song and many more. Nominees for the Junior Royalty were: Lisa Getman and Jeff Eklund, Jodelle Fox and Kevin Nlacey, Beth Nlorey and Jeff Bailey, and Chris Farley and David lVIarsh. All nominees were evenly matched, but at the end of the evening, Lisa Getman and Jeff Eklund were crowned prince and princess. King and queen were Daniel Troutman and Robyn Boskat of the Class of '8O. Tara Kickbush and Brent Lachut were crown and flower bearers. Everyone present had a very interesting evening to say the least. Our Jr. play The Desk Set was given in April. Kim Killock and Jeff Bailey did excellent jobs in the leading roles as did everyone else who was in the play. All in all, it was a success. Q x 6
