Freshmen Alrhough we had n little rmuble nr lirsr lnming the ways of the high school students, it didn't mlre us lnng ro catch nn. With Grear Expccmrinns we embarked on our high school career. For the firsr rime we planned a real dance as a source nf revenue for our treasury. We slsu sold ice cream in the cafeteria ru help provide class funds. There are so many acriviries rhar at lirsr we had a hanl time choosing in which ones we wished to parricipare. Some nf our members dirl well in rheir chnices. Russell Morey ran 50 yards to make a touchdown for the j.V. game against Randolph. Jun Young has done well on the Varsity basketball team. Fred Gould played drums in rhe band, and also in rhe dance band. Sn you can see dia: veisariliry is a strong pain: among us In-shmen. Now our Great Expectations push us ever forward to new goals and greater accomplish- menrs in the rhree years still ahead of us. Row One: I-.. Rublee, F. Boyd, L. Darling, A. Crowell, G. Howard, M. We Sophomores started off the year by raising money by selling pens. Any person passing through the hall would invariably be hailed by some sophomore querying, Do ya' wanta' buy a pen? Many people did buy which greatly boosted our treasury. Our dance, The Sweetheart Swing, held on February 19, was well attended by many gay and happy dancers. Now we are looking with great anticipation toward our Junior year, especially to the time when we will receive our Senior rings. I And so we sound the clarion call, Come on Sophomores, and 'Lets Look Ahead' to improved scholarship, and greater participation in all class activities. Let's top this year with two others, both bigger and better. Row One: B. Jungquist, C. Bradley, M. Crowell, J. Harvey, L. Hadley, S. Earle, D. McKay. Row Two: Y. Fisher, B. Rugg, J. Peters, D. We have had charge of the school store which has been our one fund- raising activity. Since we believe in putting first things first we have thus far kept our social activities to a minimum. However, this last half of the year held many things in store for us. We had a class party and a skating party. The special highlight of the year was the class trip to Gettysburg. This trip provides both knowledge and information, as well as pleasure for us. All of our work and activities will become positive factors in that Hopeful Future which we so greatly anticipate.
