Sophomores Sail Fish The Sophomores feel that they have ac- complished much this year in their pursuit of a better education. Aptitude Tests were given to the whole class, the results of which will help them to plan their future careers. They edited the school newspaper which was published in March. Their dance, which was anticipated by all, was held in April. They now feel that they are one step nearer their high school diplomas. The class officers are: Sun Fish, Donald Volkg Lantern Fish, Norris Mathewsong Pen Fish, Sylvia Wightniang Gold Fish, Carol Estus.

Between classes, we sold pompoms so that the student body could help cheer the football and basketball teams on to victory. As we progressed through our year of learning, we had some fund-raising projects which included selling Christmas cards, having Pine Val1ey's first record hop, and presented our

Nash. Freshmen Flounders The Freshman Class achieved success in everything that it attempted to do. Their first newspaper, The Whispering Pines, was gratefully received by the student body. They sponsored a dance in early spring. During the year, their high school guidance program of testing was started with an interest test to show the students in which occupational directions their interests point.
