15 Seated-Mrs. Elizabeth Charles, William Aldorfer, lrvin Waters, Mrs. Marion Dayton. Standing-Lyle Richardson, Herbert Harkness, Robert Young, Clarence Pagett and Wallace Newcomb. Board Cf Education The headaches, worries, and midnight oil of a big school seem to be the lot of the Pine Valley Board of Education. The nine members under the leadership of William Aldorfer, Pre- sident, and Irvin Waters, vice president, meet the second Tuesday night of every month to carry on the affairs of the district, both financial and educational. This requires the use of many pencils and erasers by the clerk, Lyle Richardson. Accomplishments during the year: Pull time industrial arts, art, and other courses . . . consolidation of kindergarten and junior and senior high school departments . . . partial con- solidation of grades. ln the future: Hope to accomplish complete consolidation of grades . . . start construc- tion of new building . . . further increase services offered. It was with extreme regret that we lost our president, Mr. Aldorfer. While the Board wishes to congratulate him upon his new position, it regrets his departure. He has been an excellent leader and his interest in the school has been unbiased by local politics or petty com- plaints. His removal is a definite loss to the community as a whole and the Central School District in particular. Mr. Carl Sine is ably filling the vacancy on the Board and Mr. Waters has been elected the new president.
