CLASS HISTORY ln the fall of 1947, thirteen happy children started their school career at Pine. They were: Robert Bible, Johnie Boyd, Raymond Burris, Harold Clark, Rosemary Douglas, Robert Gick, James Hackley, Doris Steiner, Robert Stout, Ray Tabert, Carolyn Wilkinson, Shirley Worley, and Margaret Zollman. Our teacher was Miss Cecilia Muller. Starting our second year, we gained three new members. They were: Linda Bell, Brenda Bell, and Ronald Burke, but we also lost two. They were: Johnie Boyd and Raymond Burris. Mrs. Fowler was our teacher. As we started back for the third year, we found one new member, Leroy Skees. We now had fifteen members in our class with Miss Clem as our teacher. At the start of our fourth year, we found that Ronald Burke and Leroy Skees had decided to try a dif- ferent school. With the leaving of the two boys, we gained two girls to replace them. They were: Dorothy Bryant and Betty Walker. Our teacher, Miss Clem, now had fifteen students: Brenda Bell, Lin- da Bell, Robert Bible, Harold Clark, Rosemary Douglas, Robert Gick, James Hackley, Doris Steiner, Robert Stout, Ray Tabert, Carolyn Wilkinson, Shirley Worley, Margaret Zollman, Betty Walker, and Dorothy Bryant. At the beginning of the fifth grade, Dorothy Bryant and Betty Walker left Pine. Four more joined the class that year. They were: Jon Berry, Orville Jones, David Haywood, and Doyle Ohman. That left our teacher, Miss Clem, with sixteen students. During our sixth year of school, four students decided to leave us. They were: Linda Bell, Brenda Bell, Dorothy Bryant, and Carolyn Wilkinson. We had one new member that year, Harriet Pothuisje. Our class was now thirteen strong, with Miss Clem as our teacher. Now we really felt grown up, because we could climb the stairs to our seventh grade. But Orville Jones and David Haywood left us to find new friends, although Ronald Burke joined us again to give us a total of twelve. In the eighth grade we lost three members. They were: Jon Berry, Harriet Pothuisje, and Shirley Worley. That left us with only nine in the class. They were: Ronald Burke, Harold Clark, Rosemary Douglas, Robert Gick, James Hackley, Doyle Ohman, Doris Steiner, Robert Stout, and Ray Tabert. As we started our high school career, we gained two new boys. They were: Herbert Kesler and James Calhoun. This brought our total up to eleven students. As we started our Sophomore year, we realized we had lost one student, James Calhoun. This left our class with a total of ten students. At the beginning of our Junior year, we gained one new student, Jack Cox. This brought our total up to eleven again. In our Senior year, our class consisted of Ronald Burke, Harold Clark, Jack Cox, Rosemary Douglas, Robert Gick, James H-ackley, Herbert Kesler, Doyle Ohman, Doris Steiner, Robert Stout, and Ray Tabert

X' 2 nr ,t . SENIOR CLASS 1 N PRCPHECY .ff fri. It was August 4, 1973: I had just finished checking a couple of cattle ranches near Senatobia, Missis- sippi, that I had recently purchased when I decided to drop in on an old classmate of mine, Ray Tabert, who now lived in Pensacola, Florida. Since graduation he had done very well for himself: he had a fleet of 30 trolling boats and 4 deep sea snapper boats. I hopped into my helicoptor and flew down to Pensa- cola. After finding his address in a phone book I went out to his suburban home which was on a three acre lot with a swimming pool in back of the house. We started talking about our other classmates, and the walks of life they were in. Bob Gick, who was married and had 2 children, was a test pilot at Foley Air Force Base about 30 miles away. Herb Kesler was a Movie Producer in Hollywood and was married to an eye catching blond. Rosemary Douglas was married and had moved to New York where she was furthering her musical career. Doyle Ohman and Jack Cox were both in the navy and stationed on the West Coast. Doyle was mar- ried, but Jack, as usual, was still trying to find the perfect girl. Doris Stiener was married and still lived in Pine Township. She and her husband owned motels all over the United States. Robert Stout was now Vice President of the Disney Studios, Inc. and lived in San Gabriel, California. Ron Burke was married and now was president of his own trucking lines near Fowler, Indiana. Harold Clark lived in San Bernardino, California. He has a TV program of his own, and also has 32 gold records to his name. While we were talking, it seemed that none of the class of 1959 has turned out to be anything but a success. Then it struck usl Why don't we have a reunion of the class of '59? We contacted everyone and asked if they could be at Ray's place the next weekend. Everyone thought it would be a wonderful idea. We thought the big day would never come. When Friday evening finally rolled around, everyone was accounted for. We spent the week-end swimming, boating, and talking over old times. All too soon the moment came when we had to say good -by. We decided to make the reunion an annual affair and after saying good-by, departed until next year.
