'Eumgwew' - Queew - olcmdwwfw ESCO-'lb - Deming Queeolf Although the highlight of Homecoming 1978 was the Panthers' 34-6 upset of the Bobcats, choosing the maids and crowning a queen are always major events. The ninth grade football players selected the maids, and their choices were made known to the student body in a funny skit presented by the ninth grade cheerleaders two weeks before Homecoming. The maids and their escorts were presented to the student body dur- ing the Homecoming Pep Rally held Thursday morning, October 19 to the theme, Evergreen sung by Miss Libby Hart. Yolanda Wise was crowned queen by Elizabeth Patterson C77-78 queenj. Before the game between Pine Street and Westlawn the queen and maids were pre- sented to the Panther fans.
