The Student Council is an organization of students selected by fellow students to represent them in the student government. Each grade and club or activity has a representative. Assembly programs, carnivals and special activities, such as Sponge Week, are planned for the student body by this organization. All proceeds from these assemblies are returned to the general fund of the school for further use by the student body. Mr. Leonard West and Mr. Allan Fields are the advisors and help aid the students in their selections. 23 Future Homemakers of America is the national organization of girls and boys studying homemaking in high schools of the United States and Territories. As an integral part of the homemaking program, FHA provides opportunities for students to have additional experiences in planning and carrying out activities related to homemaking. They have put on four concerts and have another planned for spring. The first during the school year was their annual Fall Concert. There were a number of featured soloists at this concert. The second was before the dedication of the new school. The vocal and instrumental music departments put a combined program on this year at Christmas. The glee club enacted the Christmas story first and the band put on a concert following it. With contest coming up on February 10th, the band is busy getting their selections ready. We wish them the best of luck. if (5 (M CP X S First row: Susan Filibeck, Barbara Carlson, Dick Burnson, Mary Lou Bristow, Ruth Ek, Sue Qroskoph, Oinny fork, Shirley Miller, Dean Peterson, Gary Gardiner, Kathy Kator, Tdnda Christenson, Judy Filibeck.
